Kim & Dan – Apr 2012

♫ Another couple, another Spring, another lovely evening,
Another season, another reason, to be shooting…

Thanks to the lovely pair, Kim & Dan, I got to be under those stunningly beautiful cherry blossoms when they were in full bloom, again! We met up at 6pm on a Saturday for the engagement shoot, intended to capture some dramatic sunset which didn’t happen like the dusk before, but instead we had cherries. See, sometimes you just can’t plan on life, gotta take it as it comes. =)

Thank you, Kim & Dan, for the good spirit and laughter despite the progressively cold evening, and for your immense trust! Congratulations again, all the best to your marriage, and your upcoming wedding! =)

Celeste & Peter’s Wedding – Jan 2012

It was my honour to be Celeste & Peter’s designated photographer on their wedding day. It was in Havana, Cuba – as a photographer, it was my first “destination wedding”.

Description to follow – right now, please enjoy the photos. If you imagined I must have hung out of the car window to take some of the photos, you’re right, that’s exactly what I did, with awesome help from my personal assistant who held tight on me when I was half out of the car in the strong wind on a highway!

Much love to you both, Cel and Peter!

Michelle & Kevin’s Wedding – Mar 2011

My childhood friend, Michelle, is getting married! I met the groom, Kevin, once some years ago. He is a very thoughtful, friendly, funny and down-to-earth man, but most importantly of all, he makes her feel like a crown jewel. I’m really happy for them and to witness their union in beautiful San Francisco!

It was a windy and rainy day, but nothing seemed to affect the joyous atmosphere in the rooms of Sir Francis Drake hotel. It was as if the wind and rain gods invited themselves to the wedding! The ceremony was very personal – the “lesson”, the thank-you notes, and the vows. The guests were all very moved. Party mood hit as soon as reception started – guests mingled and chatted while waiting to take pictures with the newlyweds. One can tell how very much loved these two are by the huge line-up! Soon we went up a few flights of stairs to the banquet hall for the evening. Entrances, speeches, toasts, and kisses, everything was very intimate and touching yet never lost the sense of humour. That reflected much of the couple, and I wish all these good qualities will stay with them forever.

These shots were taken solely for keepsakes, as I was a pretty attendee of the day *smile*. Though towards the end of the evening I took the cameo part of photographing the newlyweds and their guests.

Thanks again for the invitation and for sharing your joy, Michelle & Kevin! All the best in married life!!
xoxo

Joanne’s Hen’s Party – Jan 2011

Por fin, this girl’s officially off the market!! *lol*

Being the maid of honour, with great honour, I threw the bride a hen’s a week before she joined hands with her now husband. Hatching this party wasn’t entirely easy – first, I wasn’t in the city where this would happen; second, I didn’t know half of the attendees, nor their preferences, schedules, styles etc; third, when I was finally in the city, I was on a very packed “holiday” schedule. But when things are meant to happen, the stars somehow manage to align themselves – reserving the tram was easier and swifter than I’d ever thought, all gals got along really well despite many first-time-meetings, most important of all, we had a blast, an absolutely fantastic time!

Being a photographer too, I doubled my role that day, and took these as keepsakes for Joanne. I ain’t putting many up here now as I don’t wish to start controversies over the cyber world *lol* Nevertheless, you can see the excitement, joy, and contentment in her eyes. That, was the best part of all, for my memory tapestry.

To you and Sam! xoxo
